The bowl feels loose when mounted
If the bowl feels loose, this is usually because it hasn't been locked correctly or because the rubber ring is missing.
Possible causes
The rubber ring on the underside of the bowl is missing.
The bowl isn't properly turned/locked into place.
Grease, flour or water is present between the bowl and the base.
How to solve the problem
Check that the rubber ring is in place.
Position the bowl correctly on the base.
Turn the bowl clockwise until it can't be turned any further.
Clean the rubber ring.
Check that the base is clean and dry.
The bowl is difficult to attach
If the bowl is difficult to mount, this is usually because of dirt or residue between the bowl and the machine's base.
How to fix it
Remove the bowl.
Check for flour, dough residue or other dirt.
Clean the rubber ring.
Wipe the base with a damp cloth.
Mount the bowl again.
A clean and dry mounting surface gives the best function.
The machine stops during kneading
If the machine stops during kneading, the safety system has likely been activated.
The ProBaker continuously monitors the load on the motor and shuts itself off if the load becomes too high or the motor gets too hot.
Possible causes
The dough is too heavy.
The motor has overheated.
The speed is too high in relation to the amount of dough.
How to solve the problem
Turn the speed control to 0.
Reduce the load by:
Adding more liquid.
Removing some of the dough.
Using a lower speed.
Unplug the machine.
Let the machine cool for at least 30 minutes.
Then restart the machine.
The speed light blinks when the machine is started
If the speed indicator blinks when the machine is turned on, the speed control is not set to 0.
How to solve the problem
Check the speed control.
Turn it to position 0.
Start the machine again.
The machine has this feature as a safety measure.
The machine won't start
If the machine won't start, there are a few common causes you can check yourself.
Check the following
The power switch is in the "I" (on) position.
The power cord is correctly connected.
The mixer head is completely closed and locked.
The motor has not activated the overheat protection.
If the motor has overheated
Unplug the machine.
Let the machine cool for at least 30 minutes.
Try starting the machine again.
The whisk has trouble whipping cream or egg whites
The dual whisk works best at moderate speeds.
Important to note
Do not use the dual whisk above 70% speed. At higher speeds, there is a risk that air is beaten out of the mixture rather than whipped in, which can worsen the result.
For the best results, we recommend following the amounts, speeds and times in the user manual.
The whisk hits the bottom of the bowl
If the whisk touches the bottom of the bowl, this is usually because there is too little content in the bowl.
The ProBaker's dual whisk is designed to automatically adjust its height according to the contents.
Solution
Increase the amount of ingredients in the bowl.
As the amount of contents increases, the whisk operates at the correct level.
Why does the machine make a lot of noise during kneading?
The ProBaker is constructed differently from traditional stand mixers.
The machine has:
Motor positioned at the bottom
Rotating bowl
Rotating dough hook
Three drive belts that transfer power between the components
This design is a key part of the Dual-Action™ kneading system that provides effective kneading.
This is why the noise level can increase
Heavy dough creates greater resistance.
The sturdy metal chassis can amplify certain sounds.
A lot of force is transferred through the drive system.
Tips for reducing the noise level
Increase the speed to around 50% or more during kneading.
Add a little more liquid to the dough if the recipe allows it.
