What is the Uni Mini Scale?
The Uni Mini Scale is a compact digital scale designed for precise weighing of coffee, ingredients and other small amounts.
The scale has an accuracy of 0.1 grams, a capacity of up to 1100 grams, and is equipped with a built-in timer. It is specially designed for coffee enthusiasts and has three different modes for different parts of the brewing process.
Features
Accuracy of 0.1 grams
Capacity of up to 1100 grams
Built-in timer
Tare function for zeroing
Espresso, grinding and manual mode
USB-C charging
Automatic shut-off
What modes does the scale have?
The Uni Mini Scale has three different modes adapted for different stages of coffee brewing.
Manual mode
In manual mode, you control both timing and weighing yourself.
This mode is especially well suited for:
Pour-over
Hand brewing
Recipes where you want to control the entire process yourself
Espresso mode
In espresso mode, several functions happen automatically.
The scale:
Automatically zeroes the weight when the cup is still
Starts the timer when brewing begins
Stops the timer when brewing ends
Grinding mode
Grinding mode is designed for weighing coffee beans during grinding.
The scale automatically zeroes the weight when the container is still and displays the final weight once grinding is complete.
Why does the timer sometimes start with a delay in espresso mode?
A slight delay of the timer in espresso mode is normal. Different coffee machines have different vibration levels and different flow rates, which can affect exactly when the timer starts.
The Uni Mini Scale uses a highly sensitive measuring system that registers data every 100 milliseconds. The timer starts automatically when the scale detects that the flow continuously exceeds 0.1 grams per second. This allows the timer to register the actual brewing time more accurately.
Why won't the scale turn on?
If the scale won't turn on, there are a few simple things you can check.
Check the following
Check that the main power switch next to the USB-C port is turned on.
Check that the battery is charged.
Charge the scale if the battery is depleted.
Important to note
The scale cannot be used while charging. Disconnect the charging cable before trying to turn on or use the scale.
Can I use a fast charger?
The Uni Mini Scale is not compatible with fast charging.
You should therefore not use a fast charger to charge the scale, as this can affect the charging function.
For the best results, we recommend using a standard USB charger together with the included USB-C cable.
How do I charge the scale?
The Uni Mini Scale charges via USB-C, which is a common charging standard for many electronic products.
How to charge the scale
Connect the USB-C cable to the scale.
Connect the cable to a suitable power source.
Let the battery charge fully.
Disconnect the charging cable before use.
A fully charged battery provides up to 8 hours of use.
How do I maintain the best possible accuracy?
To ensure the scale continues to measure correctly, it's important to use it properly.
For the best accuracy
Never exceed the scale's maximum capacity of 1100 grams.
Always place containers and objects in the center of the scale's platform.
Use the scale on a flat and stable surface.
Avoid bumps and hard knocks to the scale.
Overloading can damage the scale's sensors. The sensors are the components that register the weight and make accurate measurements possible.
What is the tare function?
The tare function is a feature that resets the weight shown on the display even though a container is on the scale.
This allows you to weigh the contents without the container's weight affecting the result.
Example of use
Place a cup or container on the scale.
Press the tare button.
The display shows 0.0 g.
Add ingredients or coffee and weigh only the contents.
Does the scale turn off automatically?
The Uni Mini Scale has automatic shut-off to save battery when not in use. This feature helps extend battery life between charges.
How much weight can the scale measure?
The Uni Mini Scale has a maximum capacity of 1100 grams. To maintain high precision and avoid damaging the sensors, this limit should not be exceeded.
What warranty does the product have?
The product is covered by a 5-year warranty for private use. Always keep your receipt as proof of warranty. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from improper use. For warranty claims or inquiries, please contact your retailer.
