JORDAN ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH

For anyone using a Jordan electric toothbrush who wants to know more about charging, brush heads, troubleshooting and maintenance.

My electric toothbrush will not start even though it is charged

If the electric toothbrush does not start even though it appears to be charged, the cause may be a dirty or blocked brush head.

Over time, dried toothpaste and other dirt can build up in the brush head and create resistance, which means the motor cannot drive the brush head as it should.

Try the following

  1. Remove the brush head.

  2. Clean the area where the brush head sits.

  3. Place the toothbrush in the charger for about 20 minutes without the brush head.

  4. Check whether the charging indicator lights up.

  5. Switch on the toothbrush without the brush head.

  6. If it works, try a new brush head.

If the toothbrush works without the brush head, the problem is usually related to the brush head and not to the toothbrush itself.

The electric toothbrush neither flashes nor starts

If the electric toothbrush shows no signs of activity, the problem may be due to the charging or the power supply.

Check the following

  1. Clean the charging plate.

  2. Clean the charging contacts on the toothbrush.

  3. Try charging via a different power source.

Examples of alternative power sources:

  • Power bank

  • Computer

  • A different USB adapter

  • A different wall socket

If the indicator light comes on, the toothbrush is receiving charge.

The electric toothbrush stops even though it is charged

If the electric toothbrush stops during use even though the battery is charged, the safety protection has probably been activated.

This can happen if:

  • You brush with very high pressure.

  • The brush head is dirty.

  • Dried toothpaste or dirt is creating resistance.

The safety function protects the motor from overheating and damage.

How to reset the toothbrush

  1. Place the toothbrush in the charger.

  2. Leave it there for a few seconds.

  3. Remove it from the charger.

  4. Try switching it on again.

You do not normally need to charge it for several hours to restore the function.
