What is an air purifier?
An air purifier is an appliance that helps improve indoor air quality by filtering the air in the room.
The air purifier draws air in through one or more filters that capture particles before the clean air is blown back out into the room. Particles can be things such as pollen, dust, animal hair and other small substances that would otherwise be present in the air you breathe.
What does an air purifier help against?
An air purifier helps reduce the amount of particles and pollutants in indoor air.
A Fresh air purifier can help to:
Reduce the amount of pollen in the air
Capture dust and other airborne particles
Reduce particles from hairspray, perfume and other fragrances used in the home
Improve the air quality in rooms where people spend longer periods of time
Reduce the risk of exposure to airborne particles and pollutants
For the best results, we recommend using the air purifier regularly in the room where you spend most of your time.
How do the filters in the air purifier work?
The filters in the air purifier are the part of the product that captures particles from the air.
As the air passes through the filters, different types of pollutant are captured before the air is returned to the room. Over time, more particles collect in the filters, which is why they need to be cleaned and replaced at regular intervals.
Regular maintenance helps the air purifier keep working effectively.
How do I clean the filters?
The filters can be cleaned between filter changes to help maintain good performance.
How to clean the filters
Switch off the air purifier and unplug it.
Remove the filters as described in the product manual.
Gently wipe the filters with a soft, lightly damp cloth.
If needed, use a little soft soap and water.
Vacuum the filters gently if there is visible dust or dirt.
Let the filters dry completely before putting them back into the air purifier.
Refit the filters and start the product.
It is important that the filters are completely dry before they are put back, to make sure that the air purifier works correctly.
How often do I need to change the filters?
Filters need to be changed regularly so that the air purifier can carry on cleaning the air effectively.
How often the filters need to be changed depends on the environment in which the air purifier is used. If the product is used in an environment with a lot of dust, pollen or other particles, the filters may need to be changed more often.
As a general recommendation, the filters should be changed:
Approximately 2–3 times a year
In line with the recommendations in the product manual
If you notice that the filters are very dirty or discoloured, it may be a good idea to check them sooner.
Can I clean the filters instead of changing them?
Cleaning the filters can help keep them in better condition between filter changes, but cleaning does not replace changing the filters.
Even though dust and dirt can be removed from the filter surface, the filters' ability to capture very small particles will gradually deteriorate over time. The filters should therefore always be changed in line with the recommendations in the manual.
How do I know if the filters need changing?
If the filters start to become clogged, the air purifier may find it harder to clean the air effectively.
Signs that it may be time to check or change the filters are:
Visibly heavy dust or dirt on the filters
Reduced air circulation
The air purifier no longer seeming to clean the air as effectively as before
The recommended service life of the filters having been reached
Checking the filters regularly helps you make sure that the product is working at its best.
Where should I place the air purifier for the best results?
For the air purifier to work as effectively as possible, it should be placed where air can circulate freely around the product.
For the best results, we recommend that you:
Place the air purifier on a level and stable surface
Leave free space around the air inlet and air outlet
Avoid covering the product
Place it in the room where you most want to improve the air quality
Free air circulation helps the air purifier clean more of the air in the room.
Can I use the air purifier all the time?
The air purifier is intended for regular use, to improve the air quality in your home continuously.
Because new particles are constantly being added to the air through, for example, open windows, people, pets and everyday activities, continuous use can contribute to more even and better air quality over time.
Does the air purifier help against pollen?
The air purifier helps reduce the amount of pollen in the air by filtering out pollen particles that pass through the filters.
If you are sensitive to pollen, the air purifier can contribute to a more comfortable indoor environment, particularly during the pollen season when the amount of pollen in the outdoor air is high.
How long is the warranty on the product?
The product is covered by a 5-year warranty for private use. Always keep your receipt as proof of warranty. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or faults caused by incorrect use. In the event of a complaint or warranty claim, please contact your place of purchase.
