BLENDER

For you who use a Wilfa blender and would like help with cleaning, spare parts, jugs, charging and common questions.

Can the blender jug crack?

Yes, the blender jug can crack if it is exposed to large, rapid changes in temperature.

It is important to avoid:

  • Pouring cold liquid into a hot jug.

  • Pouring hot liquid into a cold jug.

  • Moving the jug straight from the dishwasher into cold water.

The temperature the jug can withstand depends on the material:

  • Standard blender jugs: around 60 °C.

  • Tritan jugs (hard-wearing BPA-free plastic): up to around 100 °C.

  • Borosilicate glass (heat-resistant glass): up to around 90 °C.

Always let the jug cool down before exposing it to a sharp change in temperature.

What is the difference between Xplode and Xplode Vital?

The difference between Xplode and Xplode Vital lies mainly in the material of the jug.

Both jugs fit Wilfa's Xplode models, but they have different properties.

Xplode jug

The standard Xplode jug is not intended for high temperatures.

Xplode Vital jug

The Xplode Vital jug is made of borosilicate glass, which is an extra heat-resistant glass.

Advantages of Xplode Vital:

  • Withstands temperatures up to around 90 °C.

  • Suitable for hot soups and ingredients.

  • Tolerates greater temperature differences than the standard jug.

If you often blend soups or other hot recipes, we recommend the Xplode Vital jug.

I need the small transparent lid for my blender

For some blender models, the transparent lid is available as a spare part.

This applies to, among others:

  • Xplode

  • Daily (DBL-1200B)

  • Smooth (BL-1000S/BL6W-P1000/BL6B-P1000)

Because this spare part is not normally kept in stock in the web shop, please contact us through a support request and we will help you further.

The ingredients get stuck around the blades

If the ingredients get stuck around the blades, it is usually because there is too little liquid in the jug.

Blenders depend on the ingredients being able to circulate around the blades. If the mixture is too dry, there is no proper rotation.

For the best result:

  1. Add more liquid.

  2. Start at a low speed.

  3. Increase the speed gradually.

  4. Use the tamper if your model is fitted with one.

Frozen or hard ingredients usually need more liquid than soft ingredients.

Which blender should I choose for making nut butter?

For making nut butter, we recommend what is known as a power blender.

A power blender is designed to:

  • Run for longer periods.

  • Handle hard ingredients.

  • Deliver higher torque.

  • Give better circulation in the jug.

For the best result, the blender should also have:

  • A jug with a flat base.

  • Sturdy flat blades.

  • A powerful motor.

Models that are particularly well suited to nut butter:

How do I clean a blender where the blades cannot be removed?

Blenders with fixed blades are easiest to clean using the blender's own motor.

Follow these steps:

  1. Fill the jug with hot water.

  2. Add a few drops of washing-up liquid.

  3. Place the jug on the motor unit.

  4. Run the blender at high speed for a few seconds.

  5. Empty out the water.

  6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

If there are still residues left, you can carefully use a washing-up brush to clean the jug.

How do I release the blade unit on an Xplode blender?

The blade unit on Xplode models can sometimes be very tight when the blender is new.

To release the blade unit:

  1. Place the jug on the motor unit.

  2. Hold the jug steady.

  3. Turn the blade unit anticlockwise.

  4. Use the motor unit as support for a better grip.

This gives you more force than trying to release the blade unit by hand in mid-air.

I have bought a new coupling for my Xplode blender. How do I replace it?

If you have ordered a replacement coupling for your Xplode blender, a separate picture guide has been uploaded in the article showing step by step how the replacement is carried out.

We recommend that you follow the specific assembly guide to make sure the coupling is fitted correctly.

Which charger can be used with the Swift blender?

Compatible options:

  • USB-A to USB-C

  • USB-C to USB-C

The blender charges at a maximum of:

  • 5 V

  • 5 W

This means that it will not charge any faster even if you use a more powerful USB-C charger with a higher output.

  • Tritan, which withstands up to around 100 °C.
