What is the difference between Precision and Performance?
The difference between Precision and Performance is mainly about design, size and choice of materials.
The WSP-2A Precision model is an older generation of Wilfa's premium coffee makers. It is somewhat larger and has a different appearance than today's Performance models, but the brewing technology is built on the same basic principles. The result in the cup is very similar, and both models use Wilfa's unique pump technology to deliver fresh water and the correct brewing temperature with every brew.
Removable water tank.
Adjustable flow control.
Brewing temperature of 92–96 °C.
Wilfa's patented pump system.
Automatic shut-off after 40 minutes.
ECBC-approved brewing technology.
Which setting should I choose on the filter holder?
The setting on the filter holder should match the amount of water you've filled into the water tank.
The filter holder's flow control regulates how quickly the water passes through the coffee. By matching the flow to the brewing amount, the coffee gets the right contact time with the water, which gives a better and more even taste.
Settings
0.25 liters of water → select 0.25 on the filter holder.
0.50 liters of water → select 0.50 on the filter holder.
0.75 liters of water → select 0.75 on the filter holder.
1.00 liters of water → select 1.00 on the filter holder.
1.25 liters of water → select 1.25 on the filter holder.
The coffee maker isn't pumping water
If the coffee maker isn't pumping water, this is usually due to limescale deposits in the system.
Limescale can build up over time in the pump and water channels, restricting or stopping the water flow.
Try the following:
Descale the coffee maker according to the instructions.
Then run through clean water.
Check whether the water flow has returned.
If the problem persists after descaling, additional cleaning may be needed to remove remaining limescale deposits.
How often should I descale the coffee maker?
How often the coffee maker needs descaling depends on how much limescale is in the water where you live.
We recommend that you:
Descale at least every three months.
Descale more often if you have hard water.
Clean the coffee maker regularly to maintain good taste and function.
Regular descaling helps to:
Maintain the water flow.
Protect the pump.
Extend the coffee maker's lifespan.
Ensure the correct brewing temperature.
Which cleaning products are recommended?
For the best results, we recommend:
BREWFRESH Universal Cleaner.
BREWFRESH Descaler.
These products are designed to clean the coffee maker effectively while protecting its components.
The Wilfa button keeps blinking rapidly
If the Wilfa button blinks rapidly and continuously, this indicates an internal fault in the coffee maker.
Unfortunately, there are no authorized service options for this type of fault.
If this happens, we recommend that you:
Contact the retailer where the coffee maker was purchased. (Don't forget your receipt!)
File a warranty claim.
I need a new glass carafe
If you need a new glass carafe for your Precision coffee maker, you can use the same carafe as for the WSPL-3B Performance.
The replacement carafe can normally be ordered through:
Authorized retailers in Sweden.
Authorized retailers in Denmark.
Authorized retailers in Finland.
Wilfa's website in Norway.
How much coffee should I use?
For the best results, Wilfa recommends approximately 60 grams of coffee per liter of water.
Recommended amounts
1.25 liters of water → 75 grams of coffee.
1.00 liters of water → 60 grams of coffee.
0.75 liters of water → 45 grams of coffee.
0.50 liters of water → 30 grams of coffee.
0.25 liters of water → 15 grams of coffee.
Different coffee types and grind levels can affect the taste, so you can adjust the amount according to personal preference.
Why does the Precision coffee maker make more noise than regular coffee makers?
The Precision uses Wilfa's unique pump technology, which means it can be somewhat louder than traditional coffee makers.
This is normal.
The pump technology:
Empties the system of water after each brew.
Ensures that only fresh water is used.
Provides fast heating.
Maintains the correct temperature from the first to the last drop.
This is why it's common to hear the pump particularly clearly at the beginning and end of the brewing process.
How does the keep-warm function work?
Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker automatically switches to keep-warm mode.
The warming plate keeps the coffee warm for up to 40 minutes before the coffee maker automatically switches off in accordance with applicable EU requirements.
For the best taste, we recommend serving the coffee as close to the brewing time as possible.
What warranty does the product have?
The product is covered by a 5-year warranty for private use. Always keep your receipt as proof of warranty. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from improper use. For warranty claims or inquiries, please contact your retailer.
