The milk container isn't working - the milk doesn't pass through the system
If milk isn't passing through the system on your Volo Automatic, this is usually because parts of the milk system need cleaning, or a part isn't correctly in place.
Check the following steps:
Check that the silicone hose in the milk container is clean and free from blockages.
Check that the silicone hose is correctly positioned in the milk container.
Check that the adapter between the milk container and the machine is securely attached.
Make sure all connections are correctly attached to the machine.
Test the milk system again after cleaning.
If the milk system still doesn't work despite all parts being clean and correctly mounted, we recommend replacing the milk container.
Water is leaking from the water tank
If water is leaking from the water tank on your Volo Automatic, the water tank needs to be replaced.
The water tank is the removable container that supplies the machine with fresh water. If the tank has been damaged or cracked, water leakage can occur.
If you notice a leak from the water tank itself, we recommend contacting your retailer for help with a replacement part or a warranty claim.
There is water in the drip tray
If there is water in the drip tray on your Volo Automatic, this is normal and part of the machine's operation.
The Volo Automatic uses a powerful pump with up to 19 bar of pressure to brew espresso. To protect the machine's internal components, some of the pressure needs to be released after brewing. When this happens, a small amount of water is directed to the drip tray.
It is therefore normal that:
Water collects in the drip tray.
Small amounts of water come out through the machine's internal drainage system.
The drip tray needs to be emptied regularly.
The drip tray is designed to collect this water and helps the machine function correctly over time.
For best results, we recommend that you:
Empty the drip tray regularly.
Clean the drip tray at regular intervals.
Check that the drip tray is correctly in place after cleaning.
I'm not satisfied with the milk foam
If you're not satisfied with the milk foam from your Volo Automatic, there are several factors that affect the result.
The Volo Automatic has a high-performance milk system and a pump with up to 19 bar of pressure, but the result can vary depending on the type of milk used and how fresh it is.
For the best possible milk foam, we recommend:
Using cold milk straight from the refrigerator.
Using fresh milk.
Cleaning the milk system regularly.
Making sure the silicone hose is clean and free from milk residue.
Regular standard milk often gives the best result because it has a balanced composition of fat, protein and natural milk sugar. This combination helps create a creamy and stable milk foam.
The result may differ between different types of milk and plant-based alternatives.
How do I clean my Volo Automatic?
For the Volo Automatic to continue delivering high-quality coffee, it's important to clean the machine regularly.
We recommend that you:
Empty the coffee grounds container as needed.
Empty and clean the drip tray regularly.
Remove the brew unit and rinse it under running water.
Clean the milk system after use.
Descale the machine according to the recommendations in the user manual.
Regular cleaning helps preserve the coffee's flavor and extends the machine's lifespan.
Can I make more coffee drinks than just espresso?
Yes, the Volo Automatic is designed to prepare several different coffee drinks at home.
With the machine you can, among other things, make:

The included milk container makes it easy to create milk-based coffee drinks directly in the machine.
