That you use fresh water.
That the water does not exceed 40 °C.
That you do not use hard objects when cleaning the tank.
How do Auto mode and Constant Humidity mode work?
Auto mode and Constant Humidity mode help the humidifier to regulate the humidity automatically.
Auto mode
Auto mode adjusts the humidity to the room temperature.
Example:
At around 22 °C, the humidifier aims for about 55 % relative humidity.
Auto mode works well when the temperature and humidity vary during the day.
Constant Humidity mode
Constant Humidity mode lets you choose the humidity you want yourself.
This is how it works:
Press the HUMIDITY button.
Select the humidity you want, between 30 % and 75 %.
The humidifier then keeps the level within about ±3 % of the value you selected.
If you select 50 % humidity, for example:
The humidifier switches off the mist production at around 53 %.
The humidifier starts again at around 47 %.
How do I use night mode?
Night mode reduces light disturbance during the night.
To activate night mode:
Hold down the HUMIDITY button for about 2 seconds.
The display lighting switches off.
The water tank indicator switches off too.
To switch the display back on, simply press any button.
What do the HEAT and ION functions do?
The HEAT and ION functions help you adapt how the humidifier operates.
HEAT function
The HEAT function warms the mist by about 2 °C.
Benefits:
Can improve the distribution of the mist.
Can give a slightly more pleasant feeling during the winter months.
ION function (Plasma)
The ION function uses ionisation to reduce the amount of particles in the air.
Benefits:
Can reduce the presence of dust and airborne particles.
Can contribute to better air quality.
The function is optional because:
Some people prefer not to use ionisation.
It increases energy consumption slightly when it is switched on.
How do I adjust the mist level?
The mist level is adjusted directly from the control panel.
You can choose between:
Level 1 – lowest mist production.
Level 2
Level 3
Level 4
Level 5 – highest mist production.
The display shows the current level in real time.

How do I clean my Haze humidifier?
Regular cleaning is important in order to avoid limescale, bacteria and reduced performance.
We recommend that you:
Change the water regularly.
Clean the water sensor, the tank and the water container at least every three days.
Empty the unit completely before storing it for a longer period.
To clean the base unit:
Empty out all the water.
Clean the bottom with water.
Add vinegar or a descaler if there are limescale deposits.
Brush carefully if needed.
Rinse thoroughly.
Wipe dry before use.
The most important thing is not to let water stand in the humidifier for several days, as this can lead to bacterial growth and limescale deposits.
How do I clean the ceramic filter?
The ceramic filter helps to reduce limescale and improve the water quality.
The filter sits right at the back of the water tank and has a cylindrical shape.
To clean it:
Unscrew the filter.
Place it in vinegar for about 5 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Let the filter dry in the sun for 4–6 hours or overnight.
The filter should be cleaned after about 1000 litres of water, or more often if the water quality is poor.
Why does white powder appear around the humidifier?
White powder around the humidifier is usually caused by hard water.
Hard water contains minerals that can be carried out into the air with the mist and then show up as a white dust on furniture and other surfaces.
To reduce the problem, we recommend:
Distilled water.
Filtered water.
Regular cleaning of the humidifier.
Regular cleaning of the ceramic filter.
What does error code E1 mean?

Press the On/Off button twice.
Then hold the button down for about 2 seconds.
The display should show "PL" and then "PA".

What does error code EF mean?

If error code EF is displayed:
Switch off the humidifier.
Empty the base unit.
Clean the tank and the base.
Fill it with fresh water.
Switch the unit on again.
In many cases, cleaning solves the problem.
What does error code E2 mean?
Error code E2 usually means that the humidifier is detecting too much water in the base unit.
First try to:
Carry out a reset as described in the instructions for error code E1.
Clean the base unit thoroughly.
Fill it with fresh water.
Wait about 2 minutes before starting the humidifier.
If the problem persists:
Take out the water tank.
Place it on a table.
Check whether water is leaking out of the tank.
If the tank leaks when it is standing on its own, the valve is probably faulty and you should contact your place of purchase for help with a complaint.
Can I use the humidifier without WiFi?
Yes, Wilfa Haze works fully without a WiFi connection.
All the basic functions can be controlled directly from the control panel, but the app gives you more options for monitoring and settings.
