General
If the robot will not be used for an extended period, please turn it off after fully charging the battery and then place the robot in a dry and cool location.
You should charge the battery once per month.
If you have not created a schedule/map in the app for the robot to clean, it will clean an area of 6m × 6m. Once you create a schedule/map, the robot will automatically clean each room for which a map has been created and then return to the charging station when finished.
A guide for connecting the robot vacuum to the app can be found [here].
Questions and Answers
The robot vacuum will not start
Battery level is low. Place the robot on the charging station to charge it before use.
The robot is not vacuuming
Battery level is low. Fully charge the battery. Check the filter and brushes to ensure nothing is stuck and blocking them.
Cannot charge
If the charging dock is not receiving power, check that both ends of the power cable are properly connected.
If the connection is poor, clean the contacts on the charging station and robot.
Ensure there is enough space around the automatic emptying station and that there is no dust or blockage on the electrode surface.
The robot cannot return to the charging station
Too many obstacles around the charging/emptying station. Place the station in an open area.
The robot is too far from the charging/emptying station. Move it closer and try again.
The robot cannot connect to the app
Ensure the robot and the automatic charging/emptying station have a strong Wi-Fi signal; reset Wi-Fi following the instructions in the manual; then reconnect.
The robot makes strange noises
Turn off the robot and check for foreign objects stuck in the main brush, side brush, or left/right wheels.
The robot behaves abnormally
Please turn off the robot and restart it.
The robot is offline
Weak Wi-Fi signal. Ensure the robot has Wi-Fi coverage.
Wi-Fi connection fails. Restart Wi-Fi, download the latest version of the app, and try again.
The floor is not getting wet even though the mopping function is on
It takes a short while for the mop cloth to become wet. After cleaning a section, the cloth will get wet and the floor will also be moistened. You can also wet the mop cloth before starting the robot.
The vacuum has picked up liquid
Turn off the robot vacuum immediately. Wipe the container, filter unit parts, and suction port. Once all parts are completely dry, reinstall and start the vacuum.
Maximum threshold height the vacuum can handle
20mm is the official maximum height, but depending on the threshold design, it may handle slightly more or less.
At what temperature can the mop be washed?
The mop can be washed at 40°C.
Share device so two phones can control the robot – how?
Is it possible to use on multiple floors?
Yes, multiple maps can be created – switch between maps when moving the robot between floors. Up to 5 floors/maps are supported.
You can move the robot to a random spot on a new floor without a charging station, as long as the correct map for that floor is selected and no major changes have been made (moved large furniture, placed many boxes, or other obstacles) that prevent the robot from recognizing the area.
Connections
Troubleshooting connection errors to the app:
Make sure the Wi-Fi password entered is correct.
Enable location permission for the app.
For iOS 14 or later (recommended), enable local network access for the app.
Pay attention to “Select Wi-Fi Network.” Choose your home network and enter the password, not the robot’s Wi-Fi.
If there are special characters like !@#$ in your Wi-Fi name or password, it is recommended to remove them in the router settings.
The robot does not support WEP encryption. If your Wi-Fi uses WEP, change it to WPA or WPA2.
If familiar with router settings, try changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 on the router’s settings page.
Restart your device and router and try again.
If your phone has mobile data or VPN enabled, disable them and try again.
Connection Issues for Android Phones
Android 14 has added a new permission check for alarms that did not exist before, which can cause connection issues for the app.
Go to Settings on your phone, scroll down to Apps.
Select RVC Connect. Click Notifications and allow notifications.
Go back, select Permissions, and allow location access while using the app.
Also, ensure the feature is active by going to Settings:
Search for Alarm. Select Alarms & reminders (apps).
Select Special Access, then Alarms & reminders.
Allow access for the RVC app in the list.
This must be activated manually. See videos:
Can I connect my robot vacuum to Google Home or Alexa?
No, this is not possible at the moment. We are exploring options for future integration.
Emptying Station / Charging Station
The automatic emptying on my SL+ model does not work
Ensure the power cable to the emptying station is connected.
Make sure the robot is properly seated on the station and confirmed as charging in the app.
Check that the dust bag is correctly installed. There is a small button under the lid that detects if the dust bag is in place—ensure it aligns correctly with the cardboard part of the bag.
Make sure the robot has completed its latest cleaning schedule and is not in “charge and resume” mode. Check status in the app.
Check that the dust bag is not full.
Ensure the dust container lid is closed.
Confirm the station is in the same location where the robot started cleaning.
Try pressing the emptying button manually in the app to see if the station starts.
Try placing the filter in the filter slot and closing the lid properly to see if it activates.
If all the above fails, contact customer support and have the robot’s serial number, app version, and your phone’s operating system ready.
Emptying Station Size – RVC-4BLin+
Height: 30 cm
Width: 27.5 cm at the widest point at the top
Depth: 20 cm
Dimensions refer to the station only, without the robot in place.
My Map Does Not Work
Delete the old map.
Make sure the robot can operate on rugs in all modes.
Open all doors that will remain open during cleaning.
Create a quick map.
Run a first full cleaning with Edge Cleaning enabled first.
Run a complete cleaning (still with all doors open).
Now you can edit the map, set boundaries, name areas, add no-go zones, etc.
Make sure the robot is fully charged before starting.
Note: Do not move the base station after mapping. If you move the base, the process should be repeated.
Can I leave the robot on the charger permanently without damaging the battery?
Yes. After the robot is fully charged, it will switch to low-current maintenance charging to avoid overcharging. If the robot vacuum will not be used for an extended period—weeks or months—it is recommended to turn off the robot and store it in the packaging box.
