1. How do I best clean the filter and removable parts?

We have created a video guide showing the best way to clean the filter and other parts. Watch it here!

2. Can I get help with how to reassemble all the parts correctly after cleaning?

Absolutely! Check out our video guide here!

3. My display shows "filter blocked," what should I do?

Cause:
The dust sensor detects the amount of dust passing through the airflow. If the filter is clogged or the airflow is restricted, the sensor may interpret this as a blocked filter and display a warning message.

Solution:

  • Turn off the vacuum cleaner.

  • Empty the dust container if it is full.

  • Remove the filter according to the instructions in the manual.

  • Clean the filter:

    • Shake off loose dust.

    • Rinse the filter gently with lukewarm water.

    • Let the filter dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinserting it.

  • Check the air ducts and make sure nothing is blocking the airflow.

  • Restart the vacuum cleaner and see if the message disappears.

For optimal performance, the dust sensor must be cleaned regularly. Clean the dust sensor with a piece of paper and remove any dust accumulated on the sensor. The sensor is located inside the tube on both sides.

If the problem persists despite this, your filter may need to be replaced. You can order new filters on our website.

If you need help with further troubleshooting or filing a warranty claim, please contact your place of purchase.

Clean the filter regularly to avoid the sensor mistakenly interpreting the airflow as blocked.

4. What is the difference between the Wilfa HS1-SB and Wilfa HS1-SG handheld vacuum cleaners?

They are the same vacuum cleaner, the only difference is the included accessories and a slight difference in color.

5. My vacuum cleaner makes a loud, whistling noise. What causes this?

If the vacuum cleaner is used without the washable “sensor” filter, dirt can enter the unit, which may cause it to stop working altogether. It is therefore important never to use the vacuum cleaner without all filters correctly installed.

6. How often do I need to clean the vacuum cleaner?

That depends entirely on how often you use the vacuum cleaner and how much dirt it is exposed to. A simple way to check if it’s time to clean your vacuum cleaner is to remove the parts and inspect their condition.

7. The suction power has decreased, what could be the reason?

This is usually caused by dirty filters in need of cleaning. Filters can look completely “clean” and unused from above, but still be completely clogged underneath. Check the filters and see if performance improves after cleaning or replacing them. If the HEPA filter is clogged, it may cause the motor to overheat and significantly reduce suction power. In that case, the filter also needs to be cleaned or replaced. Also check the nozzle, container, and tube. Clean all parts according to question 1.
